We wanted to give a giant recommendation to anyone thinking of using Quest Construction for any type of home remodeling. We used Jim for our basement bathroom remodel, and we have been supremely pleased with the results as well as the entire process! Everyone who has seen the results have been very impressed with how it looks and functions. From the start, Jim was a dream to work with. He was prompt in his communications as well as his arrival each day during the remodel. His estimates were accurate, his workmanship stellar and his post finish follow-up was efficient. While he was in our home, he made sure to be as unobtrusive as possible. He was polite about coordinating with us to make sure he did not interrupt any online meetings. He made great friends with our two dogs and our Sun Conure, to the point that our younger dog would go hang out in his truck. Finally, any issues or concerns I found or had, Jim addressed them promptly and with no arguments or cajoling needed. When Jim started our job, he stayed on it until it was finished. He did not jump around to other jobs unless there was a delay in ours due to a shipping problem with a part, and he always communicated that to us in advance. He coordinated extremely well with the other contractor I had brought in for the custom sink and the shower door people. His electrician and plumber were both excellent to work with and they too did high quality work. There was nothing I felt had been rushed or done poorly. What a refreshing experience to have remodeling done that started on time, lasted an appropriate amount of time, and finished on time! One where I did not have to wonder what was being done or when something would get done or wonder where my contractor was! Our only regret is that we did not know of Jim when our other two bathrooms were remodeled. We will absolutely be using Jim again when we do the main floor remodel. We really enjoyed working with Jim to take care of our shower. He did great work. He was willing and able to navigate and resolve some of the quirks of our home's construction. He was flexible and willing to amend the project as new ideas came up. We hired Jim to install sliding French doors to close off an office in our house. He did a great job on installing the doors. Jim also quoted a fair price, was on time, clean, honest, and great to communicate with. It was the first experience of hiring a contractor where we were 100% happy with the result. Jim was a great project manager for our kitchen remodel from start to finish. He has a wide range of skills and did some of the work himself, always to a high standard, and he introduced us to a good network of sub-contractors who he managed efficiently. He is a good communicator who is really invested personally in the projects he worked on. We used kitchen cabinetry from Germany (FORM kitchens) and he made an effort to get familiar with the company staff before it was delivered. Jim remodeled two of my original bathrooms in my 1940's home. After talking to MANY contractors he made my decision of who to work with very easy. His response times to my zillion questions was extremely quick and thorough. He gave me a start date and end date for the project and made sure he stuck to it. By doing the work himself, he was able to control the pace of the project and the quality which exceeded my expectations. I cannot say enough good things about working with Jim Williams and Quest Construction. Our master bath remodel came out amazing, and 100% on budget. Jim has a very easy-going style that made him a perfect match for our project. He does 90% of the work himself, so there is no nonsense about waiting around for subcontractors that never seem to show up. For the plumbing, electrical and sheetrock finishing he has a band of subs that show up and get the job done keeping the project on schedule. Quest Construction remodeled our kitchen in January 2021. From start to finish, Jim was patient, professional, prompt and delivered 100% as-promised. Working within covid parameters, he brought in other professional trades as-needed [plumbing, electrical, hvac, sheetrock] where it would have cost me days or weeks to research and contact these folks on my own. When I had difficulty finding fixtures or making decisions, Jim would offer alternate options or suggestions on how to solve issues in timely and tasteful ways. We would not have the lovely kitchen we have today if not for Quest Construction and Jim's direction and attention to detail. I don't think I adequately appreciated all this until we used another contractor to finish our basement, since Jim was booked out, who was so different... I cannot say enough good things about Jim.
